Changes to the Netball Rules for 2024
World Netball has announced that there are some changes/updates for the Rules of Netball due to come in in 2024. Netball Victoria will make announcements at some stage on the timing of the introduction of the new rules.

Tactical Changes – Staggered introduction starting with Open and possibly high juniors.
Goal after the Whistle – Immediate introduction for all WDNA competitions
Toss-up Removal – Immediate introduction for all WDNA competitions
Short Pass – Minor change to current rule. Immediate introduction for all WDNA competitions
Player Safety – Immediate introduction for all WDNA competitions
Advantage – Refresh an existing rule to make it clearer.
Playing the Ball – (Replay) Refresh an existing rule to make it clearer.
Throw-in – Immediate introduction for all WDNA competitions (players will need to understand the impact) Team taking the throwing should collect the ball off the court.
